The Reception

The reception proved to be quite a party! While the party included some wild and some typical antics, we showed 'em that we too know how to have a good time by demonstrating our own crazy moves.

Like covering our eyes with a spoon.

And mingling with family.

And playing horsey with Grandma's cane.

And imbibing on so many butter mints without our parents watching that we actually became a bit drunk on sugar.

Speaking of no parents, Elisabeth got to sit and eat with the wedding party at the head table.

I believe out of all the chicken fingers and french fries on her dinner plate, a grand total of one fry was consumed by our birdie. Good thing she had all those butter mints, or she certainly would have famished!

After dinner, we did our share of dancing.

(Which included Bear-Bear.)

(And the bride.)

We took some family photos.

Some of which were better than others.

The single ladies tried to catch the bouquet.

And Elisabeth picked up caught one of the blooms that broke off its stem!

Sydney and Bear-Bear managed to put on their cutest faces and make the snuggle rounds for much of the evening. For a while I thought maybe she was just freaked out by the loud music...

...but I was proven wrong!

As the evening drew to a close for us, we became tired. Very tired. And needed a wee rest.

But as luck would have it, a good old pair of pink-polka-dot-Converse-sneakers-that-are-still-a-half-size-too-big-and-thus-look-a-bit-like-clown-shoes did just the thing, and we were able to dance, dance, dance the night away!

If I haven't said it already, we had a great weekend celebrating with our family, and are so honored that Elisabeth could be a part of the wedding. It's something I know I won't forget and I am sure she will never forget either.
